So here we are ending 2018. All I can say is wow. I am so grateful to say the least. I am in awe of the evil that people can do. But I am more in awe of the fact that there is a higher power who shows out every, single, time. My ancestors, who surely look over me, keep me moving.
What is the weather like where you’re at? Where can music take you when you need to escape the negativity? Where does this song take you to?
Ebz the Artist – Say It
How does this song not make you feel some type of way? Even just a little? Who did you think of? Where did you think of? Are you leaving the party or event and you just riding in the back of the Uber a little lit, and you always bring your headphones no matter what so you good? I just found this great piece of art on YouTube. Ebz the Artist killed it. It’s just silky.
How about this song? The visuals are so interesting. Esperanza is insanely talented. I haven’t sat and just listened to artists that I have been wanting want to study in a long time, and that’s something I’m working on. Things happen, and I just freeze sometimes. Then there’s music that comes and melts me. Sometimes music has a different effect on me when I feel like everything around me is going too fast, and music will just let me be in the moment and just feel it. There are so many other feelings far in-between and outside of those feelings. Music can induce sadness too. Sometimes those feelings are good to feel though.
Can you hear a feeling and texture? Not to get fake deep and stuff but you’ll know what I’m talking about when you listen to these.
Like this jacket on Sade and her vocals together–symmetry.
How good was that movie?
They became outlaws, through sacrifice, pain, and continuous heartbreak. Sade was a GREAT choice to add to the mood of that movie. I’m not going to front, that movie was heavy.
I love her band’s music, although I don’t know if they’ve had the same members over the course of her albums or live performances, but nonetheless they’ve been great to me. Listening again they definitely had a lot of different textures going on. Sade released this video and album in 2009/10. I wanted to see her live so bad, but I was going to go alone and I was a teenager then.
Don’t think I did those drum patterns they had justice, but I did make this being inspired by the queens Sade, and Brandy. Texture enhances my experience. Wether it be music or paintings, it really does a lot to enhance the trip you take.
Bless, Happy New Years, and thank you for reading.
What are y’all doing for the holidays?
